CHRIS MARTIN

Chris was born in New Zealand. In 2007 Chris left a very successful career in advertising as an art director/creative director to concentrate on his art. He found immediate success and was a finalist in the prestigious Wallace Art Awards in 2007 and had an extremely successful début show at the well-known Smyth Galleries in Ponsonby, Auckland, New Zealand.

His exhibition in 2011 at the Chafers Gallery in his home town of Wellington sold out. On completion of this exhibition he moved to London where he set up a studio and is half way through a series of paintings influenced by his time there. 

Back to New Zealand late 2012 and to a new studio in Taupo - where he has had a holiday home for 24 years. The exhibition 'MEMORIES' opened at the Red Rock Gallery, Taupo, March 28 and sold out in 3 days. 

His latest exhibition FRENCH CONECTION is a body of work completed while living in Provence for 12 months.
